Common signs of a gas leak include a sulfur or rotten egg smell, a hissing or whistling sound near gas lines, dead vegetation in an otherwise healthy area, and bubbling in standing water near pipes. If you suspect a gas leak, leave the area immediately, avoid using any electrical switches, and call 911 and our emergency line.
We recommend a full gas line inspection every 2–3 years for residential customers and annually for commercial properties. Regular inspections catch small issues before they become costly or dangerous. If you've recently purchased a home or had renovation work done, an inspection is strongly advised before use.
